👋🏼Hi, I’m Hannah, the creator and host of The True Spirits Book Club and Podcast.

Since childhood, I’ve been an avid reader and a nature lover.

I remember making up fantastical stories in the garden, celebrating the daffodils that popped up every spring, and watching the fox mother who came through the whole in the fence to find food for her babies.

It was a rich world full of mystery, life, death, and sacredness.

Over the years, my relationship with nature and reading has waxed and waned like the moon in its cycle. At times of need, I’ve gone to the outdoors and books to seek solace, guidance, and inspiration.

With a Bachelor of Arts in English literature and history—and as a neurodivergent creative—I like to explore texts deeply, asking big questions about my existence, the world, and our future.

“She read books as one would breathe air, to fill up and live.” - Annie Dillard

Reading has always been an important part of my healing toolkit.

I make sense of my suffering and the world’s suffering, and often rebuild my faith in myself through my faith in the universe.

I feel like now more than ever we need to come together to share the concerns we carry—and the grief, joy, and rage—in regards to the planet we call home.

As our home becomes hotter, data centers stamp themselves on our sacred lands, and protections are stripped away, we must see ourselves as allies and empower ourselves to take action to protect our home.

Let’s not despair and lose hope for the future of humanity and earth. Together, we’re stronger.

Are you ready to join the movement? Are you ready to assume your true spirit?
